Best Picture Spots in the Grand Tetons?
I spotted a page where they were talking about the best views in all of the Grand Tetons. Not sure we'll have enough free time but I wanted to post a few with pictures from the view spot.
Snake River Overlook
This is a spot made famous by Ansel Adams. View of the river, mountains, and forest, pretty much capturing timeless elements of the park. Below is the famous Ansel picture plus the current view from the same spot.
Oxbow Bend
This is a U-shaped bend in the Snake River. It captures several of the iconic features of the park, including Snake River and Mount Moran. The best time to snap a photo of it is at dawn, with the sun rising behind the mountain. Due to the valley and river flow, this is also a spot where moose and other large herd animals are frequently spotted. Here are some amazing shots of the spot.
Moose Village Chapel
This 99-year-old chapel, transports you back in time a century with its simple log cabin design and understated cross. Framed by the majesty of the mountains, it makes a perfect shot that would look good in color, black and white, or sepia. It is open 24 hours a day and you can also go inside to capture the mountain views from inside the chapel.
Signal Mountain
Another one that is best at sunrise but offers views of all sides of the Grand Tetons NP.
